* IRS Report - the IRS wants a letter from all Rec. Councils stating that we treat all paid
coaches and others as contractors. This came about from the audit on the Joppatowne
Rec.
* We will be getting a $2500 small grant for use on various projects
* There has been a request put in by the Whiteford, Pylesville, Street and Cardiff
Community Council for a Recreation Complex in our area. It seems that the funds are
available, but the Community Council is waiting to hear if the county will provide
these funds. Don will get in contact with Arden McClune to offer our support and
input and recommend that a representative from our Rec. Council be present during
this process.
* Don will look into a capital project that we would need and submit for approval.
Treasurers Report: Russell Yurek
* Bob Asterita will be taking any requests for checks this week and pass them on to
Russ.
* Please look into any checks that have not been cashed and are over 1 year old.
Vice Presidents Report: Bob Asterita
* Bob introduced himself and offered his help and services to anyone who needs them.
* Bob will contact his soccer website administrator to talk about getting a website started
for the Rec. Council.
