Dawson, Joyce Goslee, and Pam Farrell.
President’s Report: Don Hoopes
* Was unable to attend the
president’s meeting.
Treasurers Report: Russell Yurek
* Current net worth of
$161,537.
Vice Presidents Report: Bob Astarita
* The High School asked
for the turf field during June and July for Monday, Wednesdays
and Fridays. We compromised and gave them Mondays and
Thursdays.
Old Business/Committee Updates
* April’s meeting minutes
were approved.
* Don will talk to Mrs.
Haslup about keeping the outside bathrooms at the elementary
school open. He will also ask if the janitors are
responsible for cleaning the Rec.
Office.
Program Reports
Dance (Joyce Goslee) - 2 weeks until the recital. One teacher had to be let go due to lack
of preparation, being late, and other issues.
The other instructors are filling in for the last few weeks. Will need to find a new tap and jazz teacher
for next year.
Football (Charlie Dawson) - registration is done, just waiting for August
for the season to begin. Clinic (5-7)
will be playing in house this year.
Karate (Don Hoopes) - everything is going well.
Soccer (Bob Astarita) - Northern Elite tryouts will be June 1st,
2nd , 3rd and 8th, 9th and 10th. Rec. soccer registration is over and the
numbers are looking good.
Softball (George Dawson) - doing well.
Will have a U14 travel team.
Water Aerobics (Pam Farrell) - just waiting for pool to open.
Mike Getz (Parks & Rec) - was
unable to attend the meeting.
New Business
* Another building is
being constructed next to the concession stand that will be used for team rooms
and coaches offices. Rec. football will
also be able to use this facility.
THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE WEDNESDAY, June. 17th, at
7:00PM at the NHES Parks & Rec. Office.
