Welcome to the Caitlyn S. Vincent Foundation website
Thank you for visiting our website once again. We are all looking forward to having a wonderful year in 2010.
The school year is well underway and we are lucky and proud to be continuing to work at Parkville Middle School and St. Clement Mary Hofbauer Catholic School. If anyone sees us wondering the halls of these fine schools, do not hesitate to wave or say, “Hi.”
Visitors to St. Clement’s- please take notice of our plaque, which is hanging on the wall at the top of the stairs leading from the parking lot. Ms. Touty was kind enough to find a wonderful spot, which will hopefully inspire the children of St. Clement’s to try and make the world a better place. The plaque presently displays the names, Mary Bennett (07-08) and Nicole Foxwell (08-09), previous winners of the Caitlyn S. Vincent Award and we are looking forward to adding this year’s winner in the spring.
The plaque at Parkville Middle School is hanging in the main office area displaying the two previous winners of the Caitlyn S. Vincent Award, Chelsea Rogers (07-08) and Brittany Bowser (08-09). We are evaluating the recipient of this years award and will add their name at the end of the school year. Good Luck everyone.
In December 2009, Parkville Middle School held the Caitlyn S. Vincent Foundation’s Honors Luncheon for the 6th grade. The turn out was impressive with 26 students receiving Honor Certificates while enjoying lunch with parents, teachers and staff. Although we do not have a group picture of this luncheon, there are several pictures of the gathering and many individual pictures of the recipients receiving their awards. Please email, address found on this website, if you would like a copy. We hope they keep up the great work and see their names on the list for the 8th grade Caitlyn S. Vincent Award at Parkville Middle two years from now.
Recent Activities:
We had a wonderful Foundation Board Meeting on January 31, 2010 with family and friends in attendance. A lot was accomplished associated with this years Bull and Shrimp Roast as well as revealing the Foundation’s Portrait of Caitlyn.
There seems to be a lot to look forward to this spring. The 7th grade Honors Luncheon at Parkville Middle School will be held on March 19th with the event possibly covered by Channel 2 News. Everyone please wear your best smile and bring your appetite.
During the January Board Meeting, it was decided that the donation for the annual Shrimp and Bull Roast would remain unchanged at $35 a seat. Last years Fund Raiser was lots of fun and we are thankful to everyone who came out to honor our daughter and raise money for the Foundation. Please join us this year and bring a few friends. The event will be held at the Columbus Gardens, 4301 Klosterman Ave, Baltimore, MD (410) 256-2737 that is just off Bel Air Road near the Route 43 access roads. Anticipated activities include an extensive Chinese Auction as well as a small Silent Auction Table. The money wheel will be employed as well as several chances with Lay down boards. So, bring some cash and prepare yourselves for a night of fun.
We wish everyone the happiest of times in the coming year.
John & Lil Vincent
In the words of Caitlyn Vincent, “Make it a great day or not. The choice is yours!”
